Winter landscapes of Russian nature, which are transferred to the snow-covered fairy tale

Winter on the Russian land is a magical and unusual season. Summer time is on all continents and it will not surprise anyone, but the real winter with strong frosts and huge snowdrifts is not given to everyone. And whoever as artists are able to express the charm of this wonderful time on their canvases. As the classics of the domestic landscape genre never passed by the splendor of winter beauty, so our contemporaries enthusiastically glorify the Russian beauty-winter. A delightful collection of works by the remarkable landscape painter Dmitry Levin is a clear confirmation of this.

The blinding whiteness of the snow-covered forest, the majestic silence, the fields covered with snow, the villages in the winter decoration on the artist’s canvases create the illusion of a fairy tale that attracts and delights the viewer.

For where, like in painting, it is possible to convey what is very difficult to express in words. All the wonders done by mother nature fall on Dmitry Levin’s canvases and harden in time for centuries. In his paintings you can see all the delights of this amazing pore: snow-white covers of downy snow that covered the sleeping branches of trees and bushes, and the mirror smooth surface of frozen rivers, and deep snow, on which you can see traces of runners sledges and paws of forest dwellers and even hear as frost creaks and blizzard howls.

The painting technique of the master is unusual for the winter landscape – he practically does not use pure white color. Dmitry Levin (born 1955) – a talented artist, a recognized master of the Russian landscape, who showed himself in the direction of Russian realism. He comes from the city of Morshansk in the Tambov region. Behind the artist Penza Art College. K.A. Savitsky.

For many years, Dmitry – a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, the International Art Fund, the Federation of Professional Artists, academician of the International Academy of Art. The master has awards “for his contribution to art”, marked by the golden badge of the International Academy of Art. Included in the European catalog of outstanding painters, which is published in France. And he is the holder of many diplomas and certificates.
Dmitry Levin regularly participates in domestic and international exhibitions. His works were successfully exhibited in the leading galleries of Luxembourg, France, Germany, USA, China, Austria, Slovakia, Denmark, Italy, Holland.
